** LOCATION CORRECTION **

FRIDAY NIGHT'S OPEN HOUSE HAS BEEN MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION

As many of you know, Dallas has been having some trouble securing the lease for the studio. Apparently the other building tenants are not embracing our 2:00 a.m. "Howl At The Moon Stretch and Chant" class. I guess there are some obvious issues with mixed-use business and residential occupancy. Perhaps if we tone down our instruments and use our indoor chanting voices, things will eventually work themselves out. In the meantime, Friday night's open house will be held at the rear of the laundromat on Third Street. Throw a load in and work the kinks out!

Shanti!

  1. Liz, Since this will be at a laundroMAT, do we need to bring our own mats? I was kinda hoping I could wash mine during class. The studio floors really did a number on it during the last session.

    Thanks, Mandy

  2. Thanks for the great question, Mandy! I know there's been some talk circulating around the studio and I've been getting a lot of personal requests about having a sticky socks class and this might be perfect timing! Let's throw our mats AND all of our yoga clothes into the industrial washers and have a toesox ONLY class. (Thanks for the repeated suggestion Peter!)

  3. Thanks Liz. Now, what are "toesox"? I haven't heard of them. Do you have any links where I could see them? I hope they don't cost a lot. I have to say, if Peter suggested this I have to wonder about it. Have you seen his yoga shorts???

  4. Hey yoga students! I just exchanged a few texts with Ron Feeley, the night manager at the laundromat, who said we don't need to wear toesox after all because the floor is already sticky enough. I assume he means that customer's don't always measure their laundry soap all that well. He thought bare feet to linoleum might be best and has a drum of industrial strength goof-off for clean up afterward. Doesn't this sound great!? He also inquired about our policy on tetnus shots but I'm not really sure why.

And Mandy: No, I haven't experienced Peter's yoga shorts as our personal paths have yet to cross--though he has sent quite a few photos. I might know what you mean. Shanti, Liz
